Sandra Patricia Crispim

Sandra Patricia Crispim, PhD, is a Professor in Nutritional Assessment at the Federal University of ParanĂ¡ in Brazil, having studied and worked in the Netherlands, France and Italy, where she strengthened her knowledge in dietary assessment. Her research has focused on the management of data collection, data analyses, fieldwork training, quality checks, harmonization of food description and quantification databases/platforms, food composition, among others. In particular, the development, evaluation, validation and implementation of dietary assessment methodologies across different study populations worldwide has been the topic of her research for more than 15 years. Most recently, she has worked towards the development and evaluation of food portion quantification tools, contributing to the development of portion size pictures and shapes.
