Mourad joined Intake as a Senior Dietary Survey Advisor in 2019. His is currently leading Intake’s technical assistance and capacity-building work in Niger, and contributing to the development of Intake capacity-building tools and guidance materials; and to Intake’s vision, strategy, and fundraising efforts. Before joining Intake, Mourad was a senior research fellow at HarvestPlus, a program of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), where he led the dietary assessment portfolio of activities, among other duties. He has trained more than 300 surveyors and has helped over 20 teams and partners successfully conduct 24-hour dietary recall surveys. Mourad has also extensively worked on biofortification, child feeding, and program monitoring and evaluation in African and Asian countries. An Egyptian/French binational, Mourad received his PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie (France) and his Masters in Public Health Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
